Of all the wonderful blooms that surface during the spring, it's the dazzling lily that signals winter's demise for one more season. Their arrival lets us know that spring is in full swing, and summer is just around the corner. This image is modeled from the crown jewels in my personal garden. These were a housewarming gift from an artist friend that creates hybrid daylilies for a local farm. The personal nature of how they were aquired only adds to the joy they bring, and also makes the ongoing chess match with the deer and rabbits very noteworthy!

This handcut linoleum block print is 10" X 8" (image), printed on a 14" X 11" sheet of 100% rag BFK Rives printmaking paper. Image is made using an etching press and professional oil base ink. Each image is then hand colored using lightfast, professional grade watercolors or pigment based inks. This particular edition is a "varied edition", giving me the freedom to vary the colors dramatically from one print to the other, while still maintaining an extremely low edition of only 20 prints pulled from the plate. Each image is signed in the white margin and numbered.   Print is museum mounted using an acid free mat, archival corners and backing material, ready for framing.
