Cruise night! The low rumble of a V-8, a slow roll down the strip, the soft glow of neon reflecting off ample chrome ... From McHenry Avenue in Modesto to to the local strip in every town across the country, Friday night cruising has been a right of passage for young Americans since the 1950s.
This image of a classic '57 Chevy was hand cut into a linoleum block, then printed one at a time by hand on an etching press. The image is 7"X5", printed on a sheet of 9"X7" 100% rag BFK Rives paper, using archival oil based ink. Each print is signed and numbered in the margin.
Print is museum mounted using an acid free mat, archival corners and backing material, ready for framing. Overall mat is sized to fit a standard 8"X10" frame.
